This is the last time The Beatles were photographed together as a band. The last photo shoot of all four Beatles together happened at John and Yoko’s newly bought house in Tittenhurst Park, Berkshire. The date was August 22, 1969. The foursome had just completed work on I Want You (She’s So Heavy) and some of the shots show our lads looking rather spent. There were three photographers at work: Monte Fresco, Ethan Russell and the Beatles’ eternally faithful man-on-the-spot, Mal Evans. A bit of movie footage was also shot on the same day. The video was supposed to have been for a BBC Two arts programme on September 19, 1969, promoting the Abbey Road album.
