45th Annual KPFA Crafts Fair Moves Back To East Bay to The Craneway Pavilion in Richmond on the Waterfront, California on December 19 & 20, 2015 ~ 10am to 5pm, showcasing over 200 professional artists who support themselves through their craftsmanship and creativity. The Fair features affordable art and crafts, presented in a warm-spirited atmosphere reflecting the Bay Area's great diversity.
The KPFA Crafts Fair highlights the brightest talents in contemporary art and craft, with both seasoned and emerging designers who produce one-of-a-kind, handmade and limited-edition goods in a wide variety of media. These jury-selected artisans and craftspeople combine new and traditional techniques with modern design aesthetics to produce appealingly fresh and innovative work. Each of them will be present at the Concourse to showcase their own work: Outstanding wearable textiles; fashionable jewelry designs; elegantly useful pottery & ceramics; luminous glass; innovative housewares; gorgeous, evocative photography; a variety of printmaking; contemporary paper goods; and a special area of Fair Trade goods from around the world.
The Craneway Pavilion, new location of our 45th annual event, is located at 1414 Harbour Way South, Marina District at Ford Point, Richmond, CA 94804. It is 10 minutes by car from Berkeley, 5 minutes from the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. It’s accessible by public transit via BART (Richmond Station), Amtrak (same) and AC Transit. It sits on the pedestrian and bike-friendly Bay Trail.
